AP Credit in French at Penn State


AP French Language Exam

For a grade of three, credit is awarded for French 001, 002, and 003 (12 credits).

For a grade of four, an additional 4 general credits for French 201 are awarded (total of 16 credits).

For a grade of five, an additional 3 credits for French 202 are awarded (19 credits).

For a grade of three or above, the student is considered as having fulfilled the 12-credit-level foreign language requirement.

AP French Literature Exam

For a grade of three, no credit is awarded.

For a grade of four or five, credit is awarded for French 351 (3 credits).
