French 3 at Penn State

French 3 is designed for those students who have studied French for 3-4 years in high school or 2 semesters in college. As the course progresses, you will not only acquire new knowledge of the French language, but you will also build upon what you have already learned as a student of French. The aim of this course is to further your ability to interact within everyday and academic situations in French.

The course meets for four class hours per week. The focus of the course is on real-life language use, the integration of language and culture, and the continued development of the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You can expect to engage in pair and group work on a regular basis and to participate actively in class.
